Chef Abyssinia was selected as a featured chef at the NYC Wine & Food Festival Trade Day at Seaport, one of New York City’s leading culinary events hosted by Food Network. The event brings together renowned chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality professionals from across the industry to present signature dishes for thousands of guests.
The Event
Trade Day at Seaport is one of the festival’s signature industry gatherings, bringing together chefs and hospitality professionals to present small plates and tasting experiences for a large audience. The evening highlights culinary talent from across New York and beyond, offering guests the opportunity to sample dishes from a diverse lineup of chefs throughout the event.
The Dish
For the event, Chef Abyssinia presented a sweet and savory bite inspired by seasonal flavors and Caribbean influence. Designed to be both visually striking and scalable for a large audience, the dish was served to more than 1,000 guests throughout the evening.
In Good Company
Trade Day at Seaport featured a diverse lineup of culinary professionals including Scotley Innis, Lior Lev Sercarz of La Boîte, Renee Davis of Trini Bites, Michele Mazza of Il Mulino New York, and Ryan DePersio of Battello, alongside other chefs and hospitality leaders contributing to the evening’s culinary programming.
