The Collective Plate Fund
Everyone Eats.
The Collective Plate Fund is a community food initiative founded by Abyssinia to help families bridge the gap when food assistance falls short or unexpected hardship hits.
We partner with local nonprofits and businesses to provide groceries and essentials to families in need, starting with our pilot program in Teaneck, NJ.
Our goal is simple — raise $2,000 per community as a starting point, find a local partner to match it, doubling the impact for families in need.
How it Works
Community Giving
Neighbors and supporters contribute
to the fund through small donations — every dollar adds up.
Matching Partners
Local businesses, hospitals, and organizations match donations to double the impact.
Direct Support
Our nonprofit partner distributes grocery cards and staples to families in need.
Why it Matters
Access to food goes beyond the kitchen — it’s about dignity, stability, and care.
By joining this effort, you’re helping create a more connected, compassionate community.
Make an impact today
Your donation goes directly to our nonprofit partner to purchase grocery cards and essentials for families.
