Chef Abyssinia was born in New York and raised in Florida. At a very young age she began cooking & knew it was what she wanted to do. After joining a culinary arts program in high school, Abyssinia went on to college to receive a degree in culinary arts & food service management at Johnson & Wales University. During her time at Johnson & Wales she also studied fine pastry arts & studied wine abroad at Deutsche Wein sommelier school in Germany. Chef Abyssinia has trained in some of the best restaurants & hotels in which has granted her knowledge in a wide range of cuisines & cooking styles. She has the ability to cater to several different events, occasions & dietary needs. Abyssinia specializes in working with healthy alternatives and prepares meals using the freshest fruits & vegetables. After working in the food service industry for 9 years Chef Abyssinia formed a hospitality service & began to offer personal chef & catering to families & establishments in New York City & its surrounding area. Today Chef Abyssinia continues to work as a personal chef & caterer, focusing all of her passion into her services.
